Skin types
Five skin types, five ways to care for them
Oily skin
Shine all over throughout the day, visible pores and more breakouts and blackheads.
Combination skin
Shine on the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) with normal or dry cheeks. The most common type.
Dry skin
Tightness after washing, roughness and flaking; fine lines show more.
Normal skin
Neither shiny nor tight most of the time; small pores and few blemishes.
Sensitive skin
Turns red, itches or stings easily with new products, cold or wind. It can also be oily or dry.
At home
How to tell your skin type without products
Wash your face
Use a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water, then pat dry. Don’t put anything on afterwards.
Wait one or two hours
Let your skin go back to its natural state, without touching it or wearing makeup.
Check your T-zone and cheeks
Shiny all over: oily. Only on the T-zone: combination. Tight or flaky: dry. None of that: normal.
Your routine, with the products you already own

FAQ
Five are usually distinguished: oily, combination, dry, normal and sensitive. They’re the same five the MyGlowApp app uses to score products and order your routine.
It’s more of a tendency: oily or dry skin can also be sensitive. If yours reacts often, treat it as sensitive and favour soothing, fragrance-free formulas.
Yes. It changes with age, hormones, climate and what you put on it. It’s worth retaking the quiz when the seasons change.
Look for the recommended ingredients in your products and avoid the others. You can check any product in the ingredient checker or, with the app, scan what you already use and build your routine from it.
It’s indicative: it’s based on how you describe your skin, it doesn’t see it. The MyGlowApp app also reads your skin zone by zone from a photo. For any skin condition, see a dermatologist.
